I recently obtained a pre drilled 90 tall 48Lx15Wx30T (The 30T is throwing me off.) I'll prolly be moving all my live stock (Hard corals and a few softies) over and I'm trying to decide if 2x 250w mh's will be enough for that tall of a tank. What do yall think?

I'm not a newbie been keeping a reef (softies) for about a year now. I got myself a new 90 tall 48x16x30. The foot print sucks but I plan on just doing a huge reef wall. I plan on having a bunch of Acro and Monti up top and blasto and acans towards the bottom of the tank. Not to mention more...

Starting a FOWLR 55gal I need help with filtration and skimming. Heres the catch. Only hang on back. No sump or canister filtration =-(. Any ideas as far as filtration and skimming? I'll prolly pack 50 pounds of ls and a good 60 pounds of lr in there.

Sounds normal to me. FYI I don't think you should run your skimmer during your cycle. It removes stuff that helps your cycle go faster.

RO units are pretty expensive. You can find cheaper ones but they take forever to produce water. I usually go to a lfs and buy RO water there. I get charged 20 cents a gall.

The noise it makes sounds kind of like the air conditioning running in a house. Is that normal? If not what is normal? Is it even possible to get a totally silent set up?

Either buy RO water from the pet store that wanted to sell you pre mixed salt water. Or get an RO Unit and produce water yourself.
