If this coral requires moderate to strong light AND being placed on a sandy substrate...where do you compromise?
Currently mine is on a 4inch DSB. Tank light is PC 80%Actinic 20% full spec. 10 hrs per day at approximately 4 watts per gallon. Thanks.
I rolled up a new kitchen cleaning sponge (the thin one thats abrasive and green) and stuck it in there. Prrr super quiet. Crazy but it works and doesnt affect filtration.
Filter pad is the same thing and works well. W/B and tell me how it worked! :D
extremely unlikely. If you need help with cycling your tank, give details
1. Size
2. substrate type
3. LR?
4. Fish currently in tank
5. Filtration?
6. water changes?
Give details Doan....thanks! :D
Electrobes has a point. My LR is in BIG chunks 7 to 8 lbs and above. My emerald has a big butt, but not that big! The majority of my corals require current and sufficient light. The emerald will travel to the midline of the tank, but he is not a mountain climber. I suspect he is tumbling...
I wouldnt suggest it.
1.Tank Size
2.co-specific aggression.
I have gotten away with a yellow and blue tang in a 100 reef, but I know when the blue tang matures, its time for a tank upgrade or trade in.
The yellow and blue arent shaped the same. The PBT and YT are. :)
My emerald never lets the algae grow. The emerald caan get pretty big to. Mine is 2 yrs old and the main body is the size of a quarter. They are tough little eaters.
