    cycled?

Also, my Chromis did fight with each other...started with 5 now have 2. They did not mess with any of the other fish thought. I've asked and was told that's pretty common with chormis...just wanted to give you a heads up in case that's true.

    Losing my chromis?????

yes. Every time one dies off the others go at it...nothing too bad, but it seems like overnight someone get jacked up. There are only 2 left now and one is too small to fight so there aren't any more problems. I just wanted to know if this is normal or if I was fighting some kind of disease...

    Losing my chromis?????

I started out with 5 chromis in my tank. Tank is 75 gal, just over 5 weeks running, 90 lbs of live rock, 2 bangii cardinals, 1 ocillaris clown. Ammonia: 0, Nitrites: 0, Nitrates: 5 ppm, Salinity 1.022, PH 8.4. Here is the question. I've lost 2 chromis and don't understand why. They are the...

    diatom bloom

Matt, I just got through with a diatom bloom...it looked bad!!! I put about half a dozen red leg hermits, 6 austria snails, 2 mexican turbos for the rocks. For the sand my LFS recommended a Diamond Goby...it kicked butt. That thing is one of the most entertaining fish. It digs, burrows...

    Picking a Bio-Spira fight!!!!!!!

Mike, Thanks for replying. I'm not really trying to pick a fight with anyone. I just want to know why everyone is sooooo against the possibility of a product like this. I dont have stock in the company or anything...just curious. There are lot of people that just dismiss the idea...I'm looking...

    Picking a Bio-Spira fight!!!!!!!

OK...I've been reading way too much on here about the cycling process. I see many differing opinions about how there is no other way than the "old" methods. I am having a very hard time believing that!!!!!!! Are you all telling me that human beings can develop treatments for horrible diseases...

    lighting question

First off...i'm a newby, but I have a 75 gal tank and bought a new light system for it yesterday. I got the GLO T5 HO with a capasity of two bulbs. I looked at the recommended bulbs and went with a Power glo bulb (white light) and a Marine glo (for blues). All I can say is HOLY CRAP!!!!! The...

    Powerhead question

Thanks for the welcome. I have 4 blue-green chromis in there now. I seemed like a little too much for them at the beginning, but I moved the powerhead to the middle portion of the back wall and pointed them toward the front and center of the tank. They seem like that was much better!!!:D
