- Ok. So I am extremely new to this! I have had 2 ten gallon tanks since easter and have since learned that I made pretty much all of the rookie mistakes! I have since rectified them to the best of my internet surfing knowledge lol. One of my ten gallon tanks has 2 red clawed crab in it. It has 3 gallons of conditioned water(which i clean every 3 days since w/ a vacuum since there is no filter), a bubble wall , gravel, plants and a few rocks w/ a platform to get out of the water. I recently bought a secure lid aswell. My other 10 gallon tank has 6 ghost shrimp 1 spotted catfish 1 male dalmatian molly 1 female dalmatian molly 1 female gold molly 2 colored tetras and 2 neons. I change 25% of the water every other day and vacuum clean the tank at least once a week. I have gravel, a rock pile and shipweck decoration, 5 fake plants 2 tall and 3 short, a heater and a whisper filter. I clean the filter every time I do water changes and I change it every two weeks.
