no i am not but my nitrates are now at 40ppm and my buddy just gave me 2 clowns and they r doing great just put them in the tank this morning

since i don't have fish or inverts would i be able to do a 100 percent water change to drop it down to 0ppm?

well i got my protein skimmer last night and its breaking in as we speak would it help to clean up my live sand a little bit? i cleaned out my sump last night as i did the water change

I did the dillutional linearity test 50/50 = 80ppm 25/75 = 40ppm 12.5/87.5 = 20ppm 0/100 = 0-0.5ppm im having a hard time calculating how high my nitrates actually are

i like the look of a small amount of LR and a more open bed of sand it will have a small bio load i dont want that many fish in this tank in the next year i will be moving to a bigger house and will build a new tank around 180 gallon

i was thinking the coralife super skimmer rated for a 125g i was gonna be putting about 25 to 30 lbs of live rock in the tank would that be enough? i was thinking of putting bio balls a few filter pads and some carbon in the fx5
