I have a 60L tropical aquarium which currently houses 2 sailfin mollies, 2 black mollies, 1 baby black molly (around 3 weeks old) and 3 swordtails. I have had the aquarium up and running for 4 weeks now and have encountered a few probs along the way. I light my aquarium for around 8 hours a day and have one live plant in there at the mo but do buy new n change them every couple of weeks. I feed once a day two small pinches of food or sometimes one pinch twice a day. I have around half inch of gravel along the bottom and clean it with a syphon every thursday along with a 10-20% water change depending on the mess and how many plants i have in there at the time. I also add a little salt to the water every water change. It is kept at 24 degrees constant and i try to match this during water changes. I have been lucky and dont seem to have had any water issues (i take it to shop every week for testing) but generally use my initiative if i think there are any problems with ammonia etc. I did
