Hi. I have just bought some Riccia Fluitans and I'm planning on attaching it to some driftwood to put in my tank. I have a low tech planted aquarium and dont want to use C02. I also have a T8 light and would like to avoid buying LEDs or a T5 to help with plant growth. I have been assured that...

Oh I thought they were good ij community tanks? Maybe I will choose something else then, my other choice was going to be electric blue rams. I think they would go well in my tank. I have heard that parrots react to the keeper so there must be something about them. They are nice looking fish too...
No problem, I think your tank will look good with some live plants. I was thinking of getting 1 or 2 parrot fish, they seem peaceful and are nice and brightly coloured.

Thanks for the help. Its a low tech planted tank that im looking to keep. I think I will get some java moss, and water sprite next. Your tank is a great example of how good low tech can look.

No problem, I have Malayan Aqua Fern, Java Fern, Amazon swords and a type of grass like plant that I got from my local fish shop. They seem like hardy plants so far and I have had them for around 2 months now

Great example of a planted tank, looks really natural. Can you suggest any hardy plants or grasses?
