I am curious of the same thing. I am going to be setting up a new canister filter soon, but I am going to use the media from my old filter.

I belong to a number of facebook groups and forums for aquariums/reptiles (I have a turtle not fish). This sort of behavior is unfortunately extremely common. People get downright hostile to the community if they don't get a magic bullet answer that will solve their problem instantaneously.

People on this forum don't owe you anything nor do they have all the answers to every possible scenario. Especially when you said and I quote "he looks fully recovered". Then your next update just hours later is "its dead, thanks for nothing".
