    Project

A week or so ago? I wonder how many fish are dead by now.

    Tank cycling?

As to the WC and the fish in the tank, I gave you a link to an excellent article that should help you with those questions and more.

    Tank cycling?

That's not good service, imo. Anyway, you should have, if not a test kit, at least 5 in 1 test strips, nitrite strips and ammonia strips on hand anyway. Levels do need to be checked from time to time. You can get those 3 strip tests at Walmart, and most pet stores will also sell kits.

What are these and how do I eradicate?

I just did a search on this and someone else said that though this dewormer is fine for other snails, it will kill nerite snails.

    What about nitrates?

    Project

Is the project titled, "How long does it take chloramine to kill a fish?" Or maybe, "Does a dead fish make a good fertilizer in a contained system?" I mean, forget the oxygen issue, and the food issue is the least concern. It's the chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals in the water that will...

    Glofish Keep Dying New Aquarium

I tried neons in my tank, with no success. Either I didn't acclimate them slowly enough, or maybe the breeder doesn't have good stock.

Need help populating a 500 Gallon Freshwater Tank

Puffers... Be sure to do your research. They are highly aggressive. They have a specialized diet. Most of them either need brackish or need to be full Marine by adulthood.

    Tank cycling?

To know what's going on with your cycle, you have to get readings on your ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Beginner FAQ: The Nitrogen Cycle

    What to do with everything?

Personally, I'd re-home the fish/plants/invertebrates, and store the tank and equipment. That way when you're in a situation to be able to keep fish again, you've got all your stuff. Surely your parents would let you put your stuff in their attic or whatever?

    mixing betta with other fish

First thing to be considered is how big your tank is. Given the tank is big enough, my thoughts are as follows. Bettas do not need tank mates. They are solitary animals and are fine on their own. The real answer to whether or not a particular betta will get along with this or that (in my...

    SPAM possible from your website!

I am getting SPAM from your site! This began yesterday. I went to the site in chrome, and a "Android anti-virus warning" buzzed my tablet, brought me to a new page, and threw up a pop up saying my "phone" is 28.1% compromised by 4 viruses, and advising me to download a certain app to fix the...

    I screwed up!

True, but still a serious set back, which will probably take as long to fix as if he'd simply kept on with the low stock, reduced light, and every other day feeding. And he may still experience some recurrence of bloom, since there's likely some algae still in the filters and substrate. And...
