Do they have a purpose like what do they do? Tried looking them up didn't find much.

Ahh ok because i have read that they do not breed in captivity and if they do the fry do not live very long but i have about 10-15 in my sump that are about 1 inch long.

Hi well i have 4 turquoise 1 Iranian red 2 Melanotaenia australis, and 2 Boesemani rainbow fish. And i was wondering if they breed in captivity. I found some fry in my sump and they look a little like the rainbows but i am not sure. If you can, can you also post pics of rainbow fry.

Yea it might take her a while to have them. I know with guppies when there bellies stop looking roundish and start to square off at the bottom that means they will have there fry with in 24hrs. Not sure if same with mollies but with guppies that is how you can tell.

Thanks for helping. The fish doesn't look like the pics. Her mouth seems all white and seems to be like peeling i guess starting at the front and peels like a thin string to the side. You will see like thin strings or her skin coming from her mouth.
