    just brought a clown fish today, and it seems like its bullies the only fish in the tank which is a firefish goby. My firefish's been in hiding ever since i put the clown in. I thought clowns are peace fishes?...is this normal?

    yes i only brought several snails....although i did notice a couple of baby snails the other day. the tanks been cycling for about 35 days, i dont know if the cycle is not ready or its been done and i havent noticed it yet.

    the temperature is still around 88 with the lights turned off for 24 hours...is this normal during the cycling period?

    its a little too late....i've already set up my tank with crushed corals, I have a eclipse six with about 3 lbs of live rocks. Its been running for about 30 days.     my gravity is at 1.018. Is that good? I used a Deep Six Hydrometer. Dont know how accurate it can be.

    I'm cycling my eclipse six with several turbo snails, a camel shrimp, and 3 lbs of live rocks. Lighting is a Power-Glo 8 watts bulb. The water temp reaches up to 88 at high point of the day without the heater turned on. Is there anyway to reduce the temperature?
