Thanks :) I received similar advice on another forum, and was told to water change until Nitrites were 2ppm or lower. Did that, then re-dosed ammonia to 2ppm and added a bottle of Tetra Safestart. Was told to wait 72 hours. Nitrite went back up to 5ppm around the 24 hour mark but has dropped...

Question on my fishless cycle- I am 4 weeks in, 55 gallon tank, and have been stuck in the "nitrite off the charts" phase for 3 weeks. I've even had Nitrate since week 2, sitting at 10 ppm based on the API test kit. In the last couple weeks, I was having pH/Kh issues. My tap water turns yellow...
