    Rewiring lights/increasing light output

    It's a 10 gallon? You know, if you really do just want a low/med light tank (and this is smart to limit growth on a small tank), give your bulb and ballast a shot. If it's possible, think about how you can use a little sunlight to help out the plants. It doesn't have to be direct unobstructed...

    Shrimp tanks are the best <3 Great grow out tank and species. The HM looks great in front of the rotundifolia.

    10 Gallon planted Question.

    Hornwort would probably grow in the dark ;) You should be fine. Floating such a plant (also, say, Anacharis) or even stems is a good way to get past a cycle or the early stages of a 'scape, when plant density is low.
