Frankie,
Thanks for the feedback. I've been thinking about setting up a Saltwater tank and am trying to get a grasp of time frames.
Best regards,
William
Dan,
Overlooked your good question. Seachem MultiTest - Ammonia will do the trick. Lamotte Ammonia -LM3304- will also account for ammonia removing conditioners, is easier to read but costs quite a bit more coin.

Zagz,
The echinidoris flower is sweet. Never had much luck getting them to bloom on my end. I suspect I am a bit impatient allowing the runners to break to the surface. Discus tank looks good too. What size is it?

Swimming,
Tank is looking very nice.. I'm impressed with the Oto's - nice rounded stomachs, they are eating well. Are they on a strict algae diet or are you supplementing the diet with wafers?
Best regards,
William
Fishland is on Synott and Westheimer (southwest corner). I've known Andy for years and he is a top notch guy. Great prices on equipment, dry goods, supplies, filters etc. He's geared for saltwater and doesn't carry Flourite. Maria - City Pets - Beechnut @ Beltway will have the best prices in...
Problem is the pH has dropped to 6.0. Nitrification, the bacterial breakdown of ammonia to nitrites to nitrates ceases at 6.0. If it were my tank I would approach the problem by treating the aquarium with Amquel + until the Ammonia is 0ppm. Then I would do 10% to 15% water changes once or twice...
A bit of a drive for you but City Pets, Beechnut and Beltway 8 routinely stocks Flourite and EcoComplete. Best prices in town. Give 'em a call...

William
If it were my tank I'd get an Eheim Ecco 2234 It's rated for 60 gallons but Gold fish are a messy lot and the over filtration can only help.

William
Silicone I have used in the past is CLR. I resealed an entire 75 with one tube with 1/2 a tube left. You should be able to seal an entire 125 with 1 tube.
