I still highly recommend pets inc. on Mill Ave in the Tempe area. They have pretty good selections of FW and SW fish. I've pretty much been using them exclusively now.
hah yeah.. This forum has been a bit dead. We need to get more people on here for sure. I think I finally got things to stop dieing in my tank, so I guess that's a good thing. =)
Except sexing angels is not the easiest thing to do right? I mean if I had all the same sex it wouldn't be a problem, but even one mated pair seems to terrorize the rest of the tank. I've noticed that cleaning the tank can be a problem also as the fish run from me if they get close to the...
I have a 20g normal tank and my girlfriend has a 20g tall tank. Do you think one of these would be big enough for the two angels? They wouldn't be sharing with anything more than a small clown pleco most likely.
I hate to give them up and that's the largest tank I have available at the...
Just thought of another question. I've noticed from reading the archives that this seems pretty typical. These are the first angels I've owned. Is it pretty common for them to pair off and become agressive? If this is the case, how is it possible to keep lots of angels together for any...
Some have mentioned adding more angels becaue then they will not be able to gang up on the others as much. Do you think this might be a possibility or is removing them really the only option?
Ok.. that's pretty much what I figured. What about the Gouramis? They seem somewhat agressive towards them as well?
thanks for the response. Yes this is the first time this has happened.
I have two medium sized angels in a community tank that just put down a large selection of eggs on a wire hanging in the back of the tank. I'm not realy looking to breed anything, but I'm worried about how aggressive they've become to protect it.
They are in the tank with:
gouramis, clown...
It was always a bit white. There is some white stringy stuff on the fake coral that looks like it may be related.
I am going to remove it today and I have removed it before. Is it just food that isn't getting eaten? There's nothing underneath it and when I remove it it turns to almost nothing.
So my QT tank has developed this white goop. Is this a fungas? Algae? I've never seen anything white like it. It grows pretty quickly. Any ideas? I'm glad I'm not seeing it in my main tank! *knock on wood*
Picture attatched.
EDIT: sorry about the duplication, there isn't much indication...
Thanks for responding! Yeah I know it's a tall tank, I suppose it's not ideal for a really good planted tank. =( I've not had very good luck with my plants either and since I put in the new light most of them seem to be covered in algae now. Although with 2.3 wpg even though it's tall I would...
No. But I'm at ~2.3 wpg so I should still be good at the under 2.5? The plants themselves haven't been doing so well lately either actually. I still have my 2x65 CF but it didn't seem like enough light.
What will lower nutrients do to the fish? Is there any way I can test for this with my...
