I have a 55g with 30 Malawi and they have been great for the last year but ive also taken other measures like a rena xp3 that is made for a 175g and lots of rocks
I think that you will be fine with that stock.....i have 30 fish in my 55g and they do great with these kind of cichlids you want to overstock a little to cut down on aggression
Its got
13 electric yellow labs
5 bumblebees
5 red zebras
5 cobalts
3 electric blue johannas
2 cat fish i forget there names but they are brown with black dots
Will be adding 5 kenyi
That's all i can think of for stocking
I agree u shouldnt start a african tank smaller than a 55g or ull have a lot of issues...over stocking is good for cutting down on aggression but urs is way over ur going to have problems
So ive been looking for my other duboisi and cant ahhhh...tested my water cause i cant find anything and my parameters are ok so im guessing he didnt die....any suggestions
My parameters are always great and i have a rena xp3 rated for 175g on a 55 with an air stone they just seem like they are better colored and active after a water change
Ok cause ill just be sitting there and be like i know i did a pwc yesterday but the fish dont look as colorful so ill do another to brighten them up lol...im doing about 4 pwc a week right now at about 40% they seem to like it
