Hi. Just want some advice on how to treat/clean a tank that's been used as a quarantine tank for my fish who had internal parasite and bloat. I've used a 10 gallon tank, but now wants to use the same tank as QT tank for when I buy new fish. The 10 gallon has sand substrate couple of lace rocks...

I feed them the NLS pellets (1mm) about 50-60 pcs. and flakes Cobalt brand for cichlids for the ones who don't go on top to feed. I feed them once a day. You mentioned catfish, I acquired 2 big synodontis angelicus, about 6 and 8", not really sure how they eat, I only had them for 2 weeks. I...

Sad to say, mine didn't last long, good or bad.....I loss him this morning. Meds didn't work could have been late, I guess once the belly get bigger, it can't be saved. I have a moori dolphin not eating now, I separated him, hope I don't loose him either.

Hi. Malawi hap has bloat, hasn't eaten for a week, just started treating with metro. Has anyone used Epsom salt as well? the belly is rounded, would the damage be already too late (liver, kidney)? Will the belly subside? Has anyone had this experience with their Malawi?

What do you have in tank as a hiding spot for him? Pvc pipe or some sort?

I'm from NJ....just started my liking to cichlids and new to hobby, now I'm beginning to like the blue Zaire frontosas too :)......any experience with keeping them? I'll chi out wet spot tropical......

Thank you. More question, if you don't mind.....how do these catfish eat, do they just eat off of the bottom whatever food they find? Fish going on top to feed already have eaten all food.....

Is it okay to add a bigger catfish of size 8-9 inch synodontis angelicus in a 90 gallon tank now that has 3, 4 and 5" haps and peacocks? Size tank is 90 gallon 48x18x24....,thank you for the advice....

We do have fluval 306, got it on sale :)....just haven't decided if I should add it to the tank, if it's necessary or return the product.....I also have a power head in the tank for water movement, should I remove that if I setup/add the second filter? Also planning on adding the wand bubbler later.
