Reef Aquarium Setup... In a 10 Gallon??!!??!!

I've recently started up a 10g to be a future reef tank as well. http://www.nano-reef.com/ is a great site for advice more tuned towards nanos. Good luck.

An all too familiar feeling. Good luck.

    malaysian vs african driftwood?

I'm fond of my Malaysian. It's rich in color and just simply appealing. Sunk fast and (after a little boiling) didn't release tannings as normally expected. But agreed, either one will be great.

    Question about cycle products

I tried it. Total junk. IMO if you're going to go with a cycle like product go with Bio-Spira. If not, just sit the cycle out and keep up with the water changes.

Is it bad to never use a gravel vac?

I'd use it. There's a lot of crap on the bottom that you don't see until the vac comes out.

    lighting for 10 gallon reef

The 65W fixture should be a nice addition then. IMO algae won't be a problem.

    10g Clownfish w/Anemone

I'd get the two mated clowns and skip the anemone. Clowns don't need a host. Although, if wanted, other corals would work fine. What kind lighting do you have? I've heard of clowns hosting in frogspawn and torches among others.

    lighting for 10 gallon reef

Isn't a ten gallon 20inches? Anyway, I bought the 80W PC Current USA light from Ah-supply and have been very happy with it. The moonlight is especially nice. It should give a great range in corals. Basically anything except, of course, the corals that would need halides...

Nitrite Problems / Concerns? - Updated?!

Whoa there, re-test your nitrates. 100ish and your fish would be dead. And what were your exact readings for nitrite?

    Tank cleaning, gravel vac question

I'd suggest taking a piece of tubaware to pour your fresh water into first, letting it overflow into the tank. Holding the top edge of the container about half an inch above the water line seems to give the best effect to dulling/eliminating the whiplash effect. Good luck.
