The bathroom is a bit far away, and there are two separate faucets for hot and cold water, so I'd probay be better off changing thr kitchen faucet if nothing else works.
Never heard of the Claber Koala. Great idea, thanks! Although from what I've read, it won't fit on curved faucets. Looks like I'll be replacing the faucet altogether, if the universal adaptor doesn't work...
I couldn't agree more. Just this morning I overheard an employee at Pets At Home answering a question "How many peppered cories do you think I should get?" "Oh I wouldn't get more than one, these things grow huge and eventually will outgrow your tank!"
Seriously?
Here are my readings from the last 3 days (just before redosing ammonia to 2ppm):
13/2
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrites off the chart (~10ppm?)
Nitrates 30ppm
pH 7.0
14/2
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrites off the chart (~10ppm?)
Nitrates 60ppm
pH 7.0
15/2 (tonight after power cut last night)
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrites...
Help! I woke up this morning to find out there was a power cut during the night. I I have no idea how many hours we were without power for. I'm half way through a fishless cycle on a 55g. What are the chances I lost all the beneficial bacteria due to no flow through the filter?
I'm the same! I knew nothing anout nitrogen cycle when I first set up my 15g community tank. And those daily water changes were a pain! Now 6 weeks into my first fishless cycle and just can't wait to be done!
You're welcome :) I found it impossible to find pure ammonia in my town, apparently it's harder to get now after 9/11 (bomb ingredient). I had to get mine from eBay. Good luck! All that established stuff should help a great deal.
