new bi color angel has ich!

This is absolutely correct. But, how many people do you think actually QT a fish before introducing it into their system? That is why we always see threads like these lol

If the fish isn't eating, you have pretty much already lost the fish. At that point it should be weak enough that it wont fight you and easier to catch to put in a QT.

I will guarantee you that most tanks have ich in them already. If the fish isn't dying, then leave it. You will only stress it out more trying to catch it increasing its chance of dying. soak your foods in garlic or selcon and most likely you will be alright. Most healthy fish will fight ich...

Tangs should never be added to a system with the intent of moving them to a bigger system once they get bigger. Honestly, most people don't have the money to upgrade once the fish needs a bigger tank, and Tangs simply need room to swim side-to-side.

If you do a little research on UV Sterilizer's you can find out what I am talking about with the different flow rates to kill different organisms. I can't remember right off the top of my head though.

Ok, to solve the problem with a tang in anything less then a 90 gallon tank, they require room to swim side-to-side. Simply put, a 30 gallon tank does not allow for enough swimming room for the fish to be happy in its environment. If you have questions about tank sizes for fish, look at...

    ricordea frag

Ricordea's like low flow areas as well. I would put it back on the bottom of your tank as well. These kind of corals thrive in my tank with low flow and pretty much on the sand bed. What size tank do you have and how deep is it?

    Shrimp and Hermit Crab died

Also, are you sure your hermit crab died or did it just find a new shell to live in? How mush cultured live rock did you put in the system as well? Having that much live stock in there in tank that has only been set up for 3 weeks is actually quite bit.

Oh yeah I forgot about the UV sterilizer as well. You have to make sure you have the right amount of gph going through it to kill certain things. Some people use them to help control algae growth and others to kill parasites as well. You have to make sure you have the right amount of flow...

I don't remember who suggested dosing copper to the DT, but you never want to do this. Copper is very hard to completely remove once introduced to a system and as stated before, it will kill inverts. Also, angels are not tolerant at all to copper treatment. Most angels will die if you treat with...
