    Opinion On Feeder Fish

I feed them clams about once a month, never had an issue. There are no hosting fish in the tank at this time but thought about adding a few soon. In light of the issue of digestion I would like to put forth that the Carpet ate a Sailfin Tang (tragic accident) when it was younger without an issue...

    Opinion On Feeder Fish

Well I've read that you shouldn't feed freshwater feeders but do you know why it's not recommended? By the way I have a Carpet and a Ritteri Sent from my XT1254 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Opinion On Feeder Fish

I'm looking for others opinion on feeding anemones feeder fish. I usually feed mine with a variety of raw shrimp, mysis shrimp and clams but also wanted to try some fish. I've been reading conflicting opinions on feeding freshwater feeder fish to saltwater but haven't been able to find solid...

    Body Modification

Beautiful! I love it :) I really need to get mine touched up soon and possibly get one covered up. I would give anything to have a guy named David Corden give me one but booking him would be next to impossible, he's booked for the rest of this year and half of next. Plus I would have to travel...

Peaceful oddballs for a 50g community tank?

The common name is Cuckoo Squeaker. It's name comes from the Cuckoo bird because of the similarities in breeding habits. The catfish is usually housed with Cichlids and will often breed when the Cichlids breed. It'll wait until a female Cichlid lays her eggs and then go and lay it's eggs there...

    What Just Happened?!?!

I would for sure retest the nitrates, read the instructions carefully with that test because it's easy to get an of reading. Shake the first bottle really well, put in your drops (its 10 I think) then shake the second bottle really well for a good 30 seconds, add the required number of drops...

    Rock help

Rocks such as limestone can contain CaCO3 which can cause the Ph in the water to rise, CaCO3 is an alkali compound which acts as a neutralizer to the acid (vinegar), when an acid is poured on the rock the calcium carbonate neutralizes the acid therefore making it bubble. Just because a rock...

African feather fin in community tank?

Featherfin's are an awesome cat to own but can get territorial, at least mine did. I wouldn't suggest getting one unless it's housed with fish larger than it or fish that are able to either get away quickly or stand their ground. I lost quite a few Neon Tetras, Ghost Shrimp and even a Cory Cat...

    Substrate sand help

No problems with rooted plants either but I do suggest some root tabs our some other type of fert to help put nutrients in the sand. Depending on the plant of course

    Substrate sand help

No, you treat it like any other type of sand. Just hover the siphon above the sand to pick up the waste and if you accidentally pick up some sand it's ok, it'll just fall back out and down

    Substrate sand help

Play Sand is clay based which is why it takes some extra washing and as far as I'm aware clay doesn't raise the PH. I have play sand in all of my tanks with no issues.

Peaceful oddballs for a 50g community tank?

There is major differences between a Multipunctata and an upside down. The S. Nigriventris (upside down) literally swims upside down most of the time and has more of a short stubby looking body and can be very shy. It looks like this, The Multipunctata looks like this, More of a social...

Peaceful oddballs for a 50g community tank?

Hillstreams require a faster moving water movement which may not be suitable with Angels. Why exactly does it have to be an oddball? There are many beautiful fish that ate regularly seen in the trade. I'm a catfish lover and will often suggest as such so I would recommend a S. Multipunctata...
