Well I know sbd can be cause by a deficincy(spell check?) In a certain vitaman its in one of my books but I can't seem to locate it. I would check google and see what that vitaman is and see if your flake has a sufficiant amount of that. Hope this was sorta some help
So I have had this problem with dark green clumps on my sand bed. I looked at my power head and realised it only did about 120gph so I decided to buy a new one that does 720gph. My inverts seem much much happier and active but on to my question. What in your alls opinon would be the best thing...
I have the same api and I kept running into the same problem. However I actually read the instructions one day and it said to let the test sit for 5 min before reading which fixed my problem on telling the colo8r of the water
If I have learned anything sice starting my fowlr tank a few months back is you have to be patient with the aclimation process. Inverts are vary sensitive to change in water but I think a hour is enough time. I did mine for about 40 to 50 min. Are you using the drip method to aclimate?
My sg is now at about .25 .26 its not really slimy its hard clumps. Like I have to put a decent amount of force on the clumps to break them apart. I wish I could take a picture. It doesn't seem to bee really bothering anyone health wise I just wish I knew what this was
So I had my diatom outbreak on my sandbed about a month ago. Soon after it turned from brown to a vary dark green. It is big chunks of what almost look like algae. The problem is my crab keeps getting his feet stuck in it and I have to keep pulling it off of him. I can't get a picture of it...
So I noticed a tiny worm moving through out the holes in my lr today my tanks about 2 months old and is doing great. I tried to take a picture but it didn't come out. Its a grey work with tiny spikes all over it. Idk if its a bristle worm or not? Any thoughts? Is it dangerous?
Soo my hermit crabs are still all in the same spot and are stillalive (they have not moved in almost 2 weeks) and I did a pwc on Friday. And not I have a ton of diatoms all over my sand like its almost outta control. My water is good and I'm adding microbelift (a non chemical bacteria) every...
I used to keep africans growing up so ill see what I can do. The popped eye or pop eye as its called is usually caused by severe stress and should receed on its own. As far as the trama is concered there is nothing really med wise u can give to help heal something that tramatic atleast to my...
Just to add what everyone has said. Imo I think automatic fish feeders are satan. I had one awhile back and it did not do vary well vs hand feeding. When u hand feed your fish you can A. Make sure they are eating and B. Establish a relationship with them. When the see you the will know its...
I agree with jsoong something seems off. Make sure your reading everything correctly as jsoong said your nitrates won't just disapear on their own. As far as your dead plants go. If your doing a flc I would not add anything live until your cycled.
Welcome to AA :) you can never have enough filtration...I mean if you have a 10g and u have a filter that does 1000 gph thatmaybe a little much bust still lol. Well the coral light is more fitted for well...coral :) I'm not expert when it comes to plants but as far as plants and lighting are...
Was the live rock cured? Also try posting your testing stats you will usually get more replys that way so we all know what we are dealing with as far as your cycle is concerned
Id wait until your ammonia hits 0 before you add anything imo. It seems to me that your still in your cycle maybe a week or so more to go? I'm still rather new to sw but had fw tanks my whole life. Hope this helps somewhat
Have u had a spike in ammonia at all? You should have at some point but your nitrites should come down and convert too nitrates if your still in your cycle. If that happens then yes do a pwc at least that's what I think imo
First I would like to thank everyone that has replyed to my threads and taken the time to answer them. So I just moved my powerhead to be pointed to my live rock. I had it pointed width wise and now it is length wise if that makes sence. So my question is it ok to have it pointed twords my live...
