So what do you guys think?? I love this tank! I want to buy 3 more of the tall plants and put them in the back and 1 more of the small circular plants and place it towards the left, then I think it will be about finished. :)

I think I want to stick to 3-4 species only, I tried mixing a bunch together before and it didn't work out. Great news though, I finally got some fish! All levels are solid :) I got: X2 yellow labs X1 ob peacock X1 dragons blood peacock(I think) X1 mixed peacock I'll add pictures of them all...

Sorry I haven't updated lately. I've just been so busy! As for your guys advice, I moved the heater down behind a plant so that its vertical. I like it much better! Will try to shorten tube on filter when I do 1st water change, which will be soon cause I'd say my tank is about done cycling...

Ok so what would you guys suggest? I definitely want various peacocks, I think they're beautiful. And I also like yellow labs a lot.

Ya, I realize the brichardi are from a different lake but I really like them and know it's possible to mix the two lakes successfully if your careful. Hopefully someone else will chime in :)

Thanks guys!! I think it's time to finally discuss stock :) What I was thinking is X5 peacock cichlids X5 yellow lab cichlids X5 brichardi cichlids How does that sound? I also would like to add 5 more of another species but not sure what.

Went to a local fish store about an hour away from home and went crazy! NICEST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO! Spent $217 lol, all worth it though. Hope you like it so far cause I sure do! I still want to get a couple more fake plants.

More rock!! Really liking the look so far. And Yes, the small pieces are real holey rock :) Also bought a little thermometer for the tank. Had to take one from my other tanks and switch it back and fourth before.

I guess I can see the concern with water evaporation. And because i had it turned up high when I first put it in, ill need to of course turn it down to about 80 before I add fish.

Ya I always accidentally bang the glass with the rocks. I need some more height, but its hard to find a way to stack them up tall. And ok cool, I'm definitely going to order that, my diy trash bag doesn't look very good lol

I wish I've started my cycle! I haven't even filled the tank yet because I have to wait for the room its in to get repainted, which is taking longer than it should. Hopefully I can fill it in the next 3-5 days!

Your tank is very nice! How are the labs and acei doing? I was considering those 2 species also? Im so eager to get mine setup, I can't stand it lol

Thats funny how you said that cause thats EXACTLY what I was thinking lol. I moved a couple things around already and have a good idea of what I want to do for now. I'll post pics tomorrow after I get more slate. And Id get the real holey rock, its just id rather spend that money on fish.
