Im making a batch of water now and just tested it and no Phosphates coming from the ro/di. I havent been rinsing the food with ro/di, ive just been draining it. DOH stupid me! I will start doing that and do a water change when my water is ready.

hey gang, I feed thawed and drained mysis shrimp and some formula one pellets. I just checked my phosphates and they are at 5ppm! I keep my tank clean and its over a year old now, What am i doing wrong? api test kit ammonia 0 nitrates 0 or really close to it. Nitrite 0 phosphates 5ppm

yes you want a ro/di unit that will give you 0 ppm tds, mines a 75 gallon per day

looks like your almost done with your cycle. your not quite done yet as you shouldn't see any nitrites and ammonia.

I posted a picture of them. they look white , i bought Nerite Snails from reefcleaners.org i found them on the back glass only. I have two false clowns, a fire fish and two blue chromis. Plus a skunk cleaner and some snails.

I bought some snails and placed them in the tank last night, today i found what look like eggs to me, but as they say if you dont know .. ask.

I would not add any fish until you have no ammonia or nitrites.
