mushroom anemones

A molt tends to be mostly the front part of the body; a DEAD hermit, if fresh, will have a curled abdomen and it will NOT be see-through. It will have organs and such in it, usually a brownish color.

it looks like a pokodot hermit, minus a massive purpley-red claw the size of its body. pokodots tend to be a bright orange with a zebra-striped face though.

this is him..kinda blurry but basically thats him in his hole, and hes got very feathery antennae or wha tlook like antennae which he occasionally scrapes with his claws to pull food off of, i'd imagine.

looks nothin like that.. you cant even see its body; its like i said, a hermit crab like creature.. ill upload a pic i took. but my camera kinda sucks..:(

maybe distantly related to the porcelain crab, but i doubt it is an anenome crab in any way; it lives INSIDE of the xmas tree rock, in an abandoned xmas tree work hole. even if i wanted to get rid of him, he'd just jump back into his hole-- he never leaves his hole, like a hermit never leaves...

awesome! im sick of seeing my hermy crabs in ugly old turbo snail shells.;) i also wonder, for curiousity sakes, if theres a special paint i can use which is non reactive in salt water and non toxic that can be used to decorate shells?!

goofyferret-- i love to do that! lol. the smart LFS is nice to talk to because it is stimulating.. but the best place to go is the dopey LFS ( at least in my case). they keep their stock healthy, but.. they really, truly, dont know wtf they are talking about, and i tend to get things very cheap...

i love little hermit crabs. an living in florida, i come across tons of lovely shells on the beach. if i were to boil these shells well, could i place them in the tank for the hermit crabs to inhabit if they please?

one thing im worried about is.. leopard wrasse. i find it to be extremely beautiful, but ive heard you need a fairly deep sand bed, and lots of small crustaceans etc etc to keep them happy, and that they dont tend to do well in home aquaria. that worries me-- anyone have any exp with this? and...
