I am now in the process of cycling my 72gal bowfront. And half my LR from my biocube (about 20 pounds) has corals attached to the rocks. After my tank cycles I was going to add the corals with the LR. Will this cause a huge spike in water parameters?

This is it so far! It's been up for 2 days. My ammonia levels are .5ppm. What should they rise to when the tank is cycling before they drop?

How long do you recommend washing them for?

My biocube stuff won't be going into the tank for a few weeks. I'm cycling the tank with live sand. And taking the live rock out of my old tank as well. Once the sand finally settles. Bahamas oolite. Finer than fine.

Also, I don't know if you know him. But rich reefer (has one of the best reefs I've ever seen) has also said you don't need to wash them.

When I'm moving coral from my 29 biocube with stock lighting, to my 72 with 6bulb T5s, do I need lots of acclimation for my corals? The last thing I want Is my brain coral to bleach.

Why wouldn't the hippo be a good choice ?

So far my 2 occ. clowns. 2 black and white clowns Blue hippo tang Fairy wrasse 1 purple firefish (because I already have it) So far that's all I have in mind. And the corals are too many to list :p

Did you add tons of live rock to your tank after it cycled..? My rocks took a year to look that good. My guess is you added lots of live rock because you wanted purple coralline. (That is if the tank is quite new).

Thick and has a tunnel was describing the spider web. The algae/sponge thing is just growing over the rock. Looking like its made out of the same stuff as the spider web described.

The overflow pipe is so loud. Would an elbow at the too silence the water draining sound?
