That's not a great idea unless you can get some support under that tank. You have to remember that will be close to 1500 lbs of water. Tank is going to be around 200-250 lbs and decor and other stuff will be pushing close to 2000 lbs. that's a lot of weight on a floor. I built a support wall...

Post on local Facebook pages. That's how I find my big tanks. You just have to be willing to search. I always post, looking for fish tanks, will pay .50-75 per gallon depending on how clean the tank is. Usually people tell me what they have and I go from there.

The min number is 12-13. They will kill each other off. The higher number will keep violence down. But you don't have enough room in your tank for that many IMO.

I have a 180 tank with 5 yellow labs, 3 red zebras, and 8 yellow top mbamba. Can I add 10 crabo bumble bees, and 10 johannis? Are they compatible. They will all be smaller fish. The ones I have now are 1-1 1/2 long and the new ones will be similar size.

Find a course screen and a cheap plastic tote foe the dollar store. Put screen on to scoop out substrate the rinse off. Should separate it fine enough to use again.

If you get a good scraper and clean it out and reseal it you should be fine. I know it's a pain but as a hobbyist it's your job to make your fish happy and healthy.

Over time that silicone is going to poison your fish. No matter how much water is in the tank remember they breath the water do over time it's going to affect them.

Went to rift Vally exotics today and Jon had some awesome looking cichlids. I picked up 8 yellow top mbabas. They are good healthy looking fish. Haven't put them into my big tank yet they are in the 86 I built. The labs and zebras seemed ok with the addition. Pics to follow in the next couple days.

So far I have found out about Rift Valley cichlids. Anyone deal with them before.

Going tone in Nashville tn this weekend. On Saturday. Would like to find a breeder in or near Nashville. Looking for either Central American cichlids or mbuna. I have two different tanks set up, I know not to mix them.
