You can put Chaetomorpha in your fuge, sump, or in your aquarium. You can free float it, but I stuff it between my rocks and glass. It adds for a nice backdrop, and allows the pods to venture further up the rock structures. It can go anywhere, really. here's what it looks like.

I just upgraded to two 250 watt MH (bought them second hand for $75 with 2 spider reflectors and 2 96 w PCs) from my 4x96 w PC. What kind of schedule do you recommend to adjust my corals (carpet anenome, zoos, polyps, leathers, brain, goniopora, chili) to the new high intensity lighting?

Before you settle on the over eating, make sure you do a full range of tests. Calcium precipitates at around 500 ppm, and can cloud up a n aquarium. Just a thought, but don't surrender without knowing all of your element levels, just to be extra safe.

I think that distilled water will have less trace elements in it than RO/DI. Distilled will also have less desolved oxygen, so you might want to aerate it well if you plan on using it.

I've got a 55 gallon refugium with lots O Chaeto and a few caulerpas. I was wondering what yous guys (and ladies, especially Reef Lady) used over your refugiums. Also, as mine is 18" deep, and not everyone's fuge is, what would you recommend for out of control macro growth?

eeeek!!!! I would not use it before 24 hours, as a general rule. That stuff is super toxic, so you should let it set a good while and rinse it very thoroughly before exposing it to your precious tank water. Safety first. That's just how I do it. Couple of hours might be fine, but I'll take...
