what if you boiled the sand from the beach for say 10 mins and then added it to a new system? With this work?

My NO3 were around 10 so I tossed my bio-mass but left the foam and about a week later after my regular 10% (weekly) water change they are up to 20 now. Should I toss all the foam as well? I thought the pads sort filter out all the particles in the water? Any help would be great Thanks Matt

What type of clown?? If they are percula they should be kept in mated pairs, I heard they do better that way. I have a pair and they are fun to watch.
