From my Understanding these corals do not filter feed???? They use light to thrive??? I just got them 3 days ago and they are open but i want to make sure i have the right things to care for them. I was informed Coral accel would help them thrive better is this true?

How is it that corals are so sensitive. I just got yellow button polyps and some xenia for my first corals yesterday. They opend up while acclimating. Today i added water to the tank and they closed up. Is this normal behaviour or did i do somethign wrong????? The water was ph buffered to 8.2.

Got it all hooked up and it has been running for the 24hour break in period. Do i want to do a dry skim or wet skim. It gives you directions for both but i dont know which is what i should do hahaha does it matter?

I took the canister filter flose from my main tank that is fully cycled and put it on the HOB filter on my qt. Will this make the QT fully cycled already so i can get fish???? How can i test it?

Would my salinity drop during the cycle???? when i first had the tank setup it was around 1.021 the next day it was 1.025 when i started the cycle it droped back down to 1.021. Should i wait out for a while before making any adjustment??
