Never had convicts but I'd say the Kribs are less aggressive but it really depends on the situation. Kribs are generally peaceful but when spawning they are maniacs Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

They like a neutral around 7.0 ph and can be very aggressive when spawning, which if there is a male and a female they probably will. They do best with hardy fish, preferably from there area... Such as Congo Tetras. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Also they're West African Cichlids, not your typical African cichlids, they like different water parameters. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Need Advice

I'm looking to set up planted tank #3, a 55 gallon. I want to try CO2, it will probably be medium-high light. What light and CO2 system do you guys like? Thanks, Cody Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Thinking about multies

Personally I think the most you could do is a m/2f. You'd probably need a seperate tank for the fry once they start really going. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Thinking about multies

I used CaribSea Aragonite for my substrate. You're to really be careful with that small of a tank. Are you going a m/f pair? If they start breeding you're going to be over run pretty quickly. I've never used AC's so I can't answer that. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    neolamprologus multifasciatus tank

I use Carib-Sea Aragonite. It raises pH and is fine enough for them to move around. I ordered escargot shells. Just get the biggest you can find, other shells such as turbo snail shells also work I've heard. I feed mine crushed up pellets and flake so that the fry and adults eat the same food. I...

    55 gallon. What to do?

I know Crypts and stuff like that it's just that I am having trouble envisioning a scape for it. Maybe if I substitute a true carpet for Dwarf Sag? My original idea was to have rocks in the corners with huge huge Anubias and some type of Stems leading towards the middle where there would be a...

    55 gallon. What to do?

This is actually my second big tank, my first one isn't doing so well because its super tall and oddly shaped. My question is do you guys think I should do high light high tech or low light low tech? The reason is because i feel like the tank doesn't have much depth that it would be tough to...

    55 gallon. What to do?

Hi I have a 55 gallon and want to make it a planted tank. I already have a planted tank but it's oddly shaped and is more of an algae farm. So my question is: High-Light High-Tech? Low-light low tech? Co2? I was thinking Eco-complete but it's pretty expensive. Any alternatives? Also, I was...
