I just did the same. We re-scaped our middle tank - 11g cube. I want to get the dwarf hairgrass to carpet before any fish go in - all the fish are parked in the 5g or the 29g. Right now I have a natural stone gravel with 4 flourish tabs. I'm adding Flourish liquid weekly, Flourish Advance...

I would get the fish out. We had this happen to a Gourami about 3 years ago and didn't know what it was at the time. We lost several fish trying to treat the tank. Honestly I did not know how to handle it then.

Can anyone help me ID this fish? I think it was mislabelled as a peacock but is in fact a Mbuna. He like to hang out in his cave. And now that he's big - had him over 2 years - he's gotten mean...

It's gone! Sorry for the delay. Most recently - the tank was 0/0/20. We scraped the white stuff off - some of the fish even picked at it. I was worried that tank was in trouble. It did not cause a problem. We do have some brown algae now -- we just scrape that too. Possibly related...
