    Breeding RCS. How many do I need

    I recently got ten. They had young. I got ten more from another source to diversify the gene pool. I think there is about 35 shrimp in my tank now at various stages of development . I have also lost about 5 . I can also see several berried females. This has taken about 2 months. Hope this helps...

    I have just noticed what looks like a fine cotton wool type growth on one of my Cobomba plants. The size of it would fit in the palm of my hand. There are no fish in the tank atm. I have a 24/7 finnex planted running. Any ideas what it may be? Cheers Ian

    Update I am quite sure it was an algae bloom. It has now cleared. However my test results seemed to have taken a backward step. That is before the algae My ammonia was dropping to zero in 24 hrs. I was waiting patiently for my NitrItes to come down. Now the Ammonia drops to about 1ppm in 24...

    Been doing a fish less cycle in a 20 g planted tank. I took some advice and last night I added API root tabs. Woke up this morning to cloudy tank. Is this normal after adding root tabs? BTW the cloudiness looks to have a green tinge to it. Any ideas?

    light A current Satellite Freshwater Led. 8 hrs a day No root tabs. I was told that with this being new substrate i would not need it straight away. Wrong Advice?
