Opened my my canopy up to find these little specs jumping aroung the surface of my water. 8O First I thought they were just some bubbles from my CO2 then it seemed that they were "jumping" towards me. Upon closer inspection I found they where little bugs. Small really small and brownish gold in...
Great thanks. Saved me some cash...
How 'bout this thing. http://www.bigalsonline.ca/catalog/product.xml?product_id=19237;category_id=2873;pcid1=3349;pcid2=
I tried to search for info on it and came up empty. Can anyone tell me where I can get a good CO2 system.
I usually try to give the new fishies a few days before I do a water change. Last week though I got some fish on a sunday night (which I rarely do) and did a water change that monday evening. The fish seemed fine so that was a bit of a relief. I try to let the fish settle before I alter the...
I have an 18 month old daughter and she just loves my our 46G tank. Her face always lights up at the mere mention of seeing some "PEESH!". I'm sure your son will love it as well. Don't expect the kid to be able to take care of a ank properly for a while though. I was about 10 or 11 before I...
I like them. I had one and it was cool watching it open up and dig it's way into my substrate. Unfortunatly it died for unknown reasons. I kinda want a few more and was thinking of puting a few in my filter (a filter in a filter? SWEET!) Not good with loaches though, my friend tried that and his...
Ok I've decided to get a PCHood for my 46G planted tank. The kind of plants I want will need a lot of light. There are three that I was looking at and I'm kinda stuck on which one to get.
One is 36inch and puts out 110W about 2.3wpg. too low?
The next one is 30inch' and puts out 130W about...
I was actually considering removing the next batch of eggs from my GBRs after failing to raise 4 batches of eggs. Unfortunatly they died before I could try thast method, hope you find success.
"Small"' probably means 1-2 inches. Just make sure you get the most hardy looking ones. I usually try to look for ones already defending their territiory.
You can try to hand feed them. I did that with my GBR's. Sometimes if they got a little spooked by my hands I used a long skewer or some chopsticks to bring the food up to them.
I bought two new tubes yesterday one Aqua-glo 30W, and Life-glo 30W. So I'm at 60W for my 46G about 1.3WpG. I hope this does the trick 'cause I really like how the my tank looks with these new lights.
Sorry to hear your story. I'd have your ex's @$$ kicked and have him give you money for the fish. P.S. Get a restraining order on him. It'll save you a lot of future hassall.
My water peramitters are
PH 8 a little high but has been steady here for over two weeks
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 20ppm
and the bulbs are 20W each. I leave them on for about 12 hours a day.
So I've been focusing on getting my tank stable again after it's last crash a couple of months ago. Not adding any livestock except for a few Amano shrimp to assist my SAE in my beard algea eradication. Just trying to get the water permitters right and cultivate the plant growth since My amazon...
