    Suggestions for upgrading hood/lights

Sorry the picture quality isn't the best. I like this one because it has a lower profile. It comes in different sizes besides the nine inch, I just don't remember which ones. It's been a really good light so far! Sent from my SM-N910T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Suggestions for upgrading hood/lights

I have a light like that. Same brand, but a nicer design (in my opinion). I'll post a pic of it later. It grows plants really well; mine is 6500k and has let me grow up to medium light plans no problem, and I've actually had to change my fert dosing schedule because of it. I honestly have no...

    Carriwin's Tank Adventures

Carriwin, keep in mind that betta's are labyrinth fish, and don't need much oxygen in the water, as they get part of, if not most of the oxygen they need from the atmosphere, not the water. On a separate note, Patriot looks really good, and I'm jealous you can get another betta. They're some of...

What Is This White Fuzz All Over My Tank?

I could be wrong on this, but it looks like white hair algae to me. If it is, you can just use a cheap toothbrush and remove it. I bought a pack of them just to make sure I have one available if I ever have an outbreak again. My last outbreak was hard to control Sent from my SM-N910T using...

    CO2 Question

Sometimes they may be labeled as Galaxy Rasbora, as they technically aren't a danio, but a rasbora. My LFS got very confused when I asked them about the CPD in their tank (very bland looking from shipping stress), until I said galaxy rasbora. You may have come across them before, but not...

    Dark green grassy algae

Yeah, I've used that one, and it doesn't do me any good on most stuff, just kind of helps scrub small stuff off the wall. The razor one is the way to go, IMO. Just be sure to keep the entire blade on the wall, otherwise it won't work.

    Dark green grassy algae

If you don't have one, you could invest in a scraper (I have no clue what it's actually called). I got one to take care of about a billion different types of algae in one tank, and it just took it right off. If you have a glass tank, it's really nice because it has a razor-like blade on it, and...

    Guess That Species!!

That's correct! And I'm really looking forward to when I can see them in my lfs. They're trying to find less common fish, which is where I came up with this one. Sent from my SM-N910T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Guess That Species!!

Since no one else seems to be taking a guess, I'll give it a go (even if it is really late to take a guess). Is it a boarfish?

    AquaJapan

My brother in law recently gave me what I think is a 13g AquaJapan tank. I've never heard of this brand. Is anyone familiar with the brand, and if so, what is your experience with it? Sent from my SM-N910T using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Hi everyone

So, I've been lurking here for a while, but finally decided to join, and finally had enough time to post a little. I've been keeping fish on and off most of my life, but started getting into it more the past few years. I currently have just a ten gallon betta tank, which has always had a...
