    Home Depot playbox sand...

    I want to use about 25 pounds of this stuff in a refugium. I've been washing these fine granules out for an hour in a bucket and still can't get the water clear. Will it ever get clear? Or will this silt settle after I add it to the refugium? Thanks, Crabby

    I have these things that look like small trees

    Is it possible to have 0ppm ammonia

    nitrites through the roof and nitrate at 100ppm+? I thought you wouldn't see nitrate until the nitrites fell.

    Cycling a tank with a shrimp...

    I am cycling a 20g tank with the method described using a raw shrimp. (see link). My water is getting cloudy after one day. I have an AquaClear filter running and 2 Power Heads. Is cloudy water normal as the shrimp decomposes? What am I doing wrong? TIA...
