Start small with a few hardy fish. She might like tetras, there are many varieties, maybe a school of 5 to 7. Danios are also quite hardy, a small school. Alternatively that's a generous size for a Betta, they're very pretty.

Thanks! I give my fish a pretty high quality diet. In addition the the basic flakes and alga wafers I'll feed them bloodworms, blanched spinach, raw cukes .... I think it helps with their color, certainly keeps things interesting for them. Oddly, the denizens of my 20 gallon tank will not eat...
