I think DG are beautiful creatures, as long as you choose wisely there is no reason to worry

Well everyone in the tank seems healthy at the moment (apart from the platy) so I've got my fingers crossed, and i don't think having two dwarf gourami and a female paradise is exactly comparable to having 3 male bettas haha but thats just me

He has been in the tank for about a week now and he has shown no sign of aggression at all!! Even the pest snail population hasnt declined, maybe a female??

Does anyone know if this paradise fish is a male or female? I thought it was a male when i bought it but ive been looking online and seems to more closely resemble a female. The fact he/she has displayed no aggression (even towards shrimp!) also makes me think female but i guess could be...

So my friend who was getting rid of his aquarium just gave me his paradise fish. He is very beautiful and has been in the tank for about an hour. I have just remembered that i put 3 amano shrimp in there, will he eat them?

It could be baby tears although the stems are quite thick and rigid

I have a platy tank with 11 male platies. One of them is clearly on his way out of this world however since he has been showing signs of sickeness, one platy in particular has been 'harrassing'him. All the other fish have left him alone. Im not sure on how platies normally act in this situation...
