    It should be fine as long as you don't over gravel-vac while you're siphoning, if your tank is new then this could be very problematic since your bio load hasn't had time to build up

    No but you could get a t8 bulb like that to go in your fixture but specifically for plants and that should solve the issue. I don't know if Aqueon makes one but there's another brand that does, I can find a link for it

    Be careful! Doing too big of a water change at once can remove aerobic bacteria and cause the tank to cycle again. I usually never do more than 20%
