Hello. I recently purchased a silver shark for my 100 gal tank. ( I would have gotten more but there was only one left at the store). Two days later I got him a buddy. The two sharks have been fine for two days. The new one was hiding a lot though. Today I woke up to find only one shark left. I...
Hello, I currently have two gbr cichlids in my 16gal tank and they are both female. Today I noticed that one of them has got dropsy because it has raised scales. I don't think it will last much longer and there is no cure. When she passes away will the other one be ok on its own or will I need...
Hello, i have a male and a female peacock cichlid in my tank and the female seems full of eggs and is trying to get the male to breed. She is staying next to him circling him trying to get him to breed with her but he does not seem interested in breeding and attacks and chases her away. Why...
Hello. So I have heard that the way to remove green water was to use a uv light to burn of the algae that is suspended in the water so I went out and ordered a 36w uv bulb for my 1000g pond. Is this the right size lamp or is it too big or to small for my pond?
Hello. So I want a betta fish and i was wondering if I could keep other fish with him in a 64l tank. Is this possible? what's recommended for keeping with betta fish?
Hello, this may be a strange question but have a 1200gal goldfish pond in my garden and I was wondering if I could put some tropical fish in for the summer. I live in the uk is it warm enough? If so what fish would work
My tank is about 20 gallons well close enough anyway about 17 gallons what i ment by new tank is that i am getting new stocking for this tank. It has been cycled for about 2 years
Oh the other tank is already cycled and ready for the rams but i was only planning on adding one of them as they might become aggressive toward each other in a small tank?
Hello so i recently set up a 64l tank which I asked for stocking advice on another form. I was told that a german blue ram would be a good choice but the thing is I already have two in my malawi cichlid tank and they get on surprisingly well. I am debating whether to move one if them to the 64l...
A few months ago my female peacock cichlid got a injury on her eye and it has healed very strange. I don't know if she still has sight in that eye?? What does anyone think??
Thanks for the reply I have just added him to the tank and he has wedged himself behind a plant and doesn't move often. Breathing normally though. Do you think he is just getting used to it?
Hi,
I have a wether loach in my cold water 64l tank and he has grown much to big for the tank now. In the spring I plan to put him in my pond but that is a few months away yet and he needs an upgrade now. I have a 400l tropical community tank that is at 26c. The tank he is in at the moment is...
I might consider a Chinese algae eater. I have a wether loach but he doesn't do a good job at cleaning the sides. Also the tank is only 64l and I don't want the Chinese algae eater to attack my goldfish. I might get one when my goldfish go in the pond in summer though! I will do some research...
Common plecos can tolerate cold water but my tank is way to small for them. I have nerite snails in my tropical tank. I always thought they were tropical snails and can not go in cold water
Yes he does seem to be having a hard time getting it out but the epsom salt helped a lot. He is to small to eat a pea but will cut it small enough for him
