Tap water is fine with no odor.

My 55 gallon community tank gets vacuumed and 40% water change weekly. It is beautifully clear and water tests perfect every time. It is hard and pH is 7.6 ammonia, nitrites and nitrates are excellent and fish are healthy. 5 angels, 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 balloon rams, small pleco, 3 platys and 5...

I wonder if it happened during a water change and I missed it.

Yes I did test and ammonia and everything else is great. Water is hard though. The platys all really seem fine in the tank not skittish or anything. The first one happened the day I bought it. The second about 10 days later.

He came with tank and is very cool but will probably give away in the near future. Rams are sometimes together but not always. Thanks.

Anyone explain why I've had 2 platys in the last week jump out of my 55g tank? Did not know platys were jumpers. I don't see anything chasing them and water is great other than hard.
