Can I take the piece of hammer coral off of the plate, that it is attached to when they sold it to me? I would like to attach it directly to the rock.

Could you take a piece of a gold tip hammer coral and a green tip hammer coral together so that when they grow you get a mixture of the two? Would one destroy the other?

I was thinking of getting a small hammer coral as my first piece of coral in the tank. My levels are perfect and the tank has been set up for appr. 7 months. Is this a good coral to start off with? If not what are your thoughts?
