Ok I'll raise the temp up and do a water change. I found the seachem you were talking about as well. I added them slow and they are all babies so there is really not that much in the tank. I planned on getting more plants it's just a slow process sense they are expensive and I have 3 other tanks.
here a picture of the whole set up. List of fish 5 angles 2 German blue rams 4 zebra loaches and a pleco that only gets about three inches big not sure it's actual name. Thanks again for everyone's help.
His mouth looks fuzzy in the picture but it is not. No signs of illness except that one gill sticking out and the fin next to his gill it tattered a bit.
Thank you for your response. The fish is not showing stress bars or flashing that I can tell. I also first thought flukes and started a treatment of ProForm-C. I purchased it from a reputable aquarium store not a pet store. Treated for three days and then did a 30% water change no sign of any...
Thank you for the kind words. He's still hanging in there. It is hard though because you are right I tend to feel like I could have done something to save him. Or I most have done something wrong for him to get sick in the fist place. I'm now hoping it does not spread to my angels. One of them...
Not looking good. Second day of treatment and seams to not be helping hiding. Not eating, deteriorated gills, the medication says treat for three days then do a 30% water change. I think after that I will be trying melafix to treat for bacterial infection if he lasts that long. Crossing fingers...
Ok i called my lfs and asked then if the stuff I purchased from them for ick might help and not hurt my scalded fish they said it would so I just dosed the tank and I'm hoping for the best. The medication I'm using is for the treatment of external protozoan, fungal disease and ich.
Awesome information from everyone thank you. It's a pretty large piece of driftwood and it helps keep my water ph down I have 8.0 from the tap and 7.4 in the tank. So I'll keep it and get used to the tannen color. I know 7.4 is a little high for the fish but I have been told putting ph down...
My ph is 7.4 KH is 80 and GH is 30. My tank is planted I use flourish, flourish excel and flourish iron. No CO2, three days a did a 50% water change because the wood I put in there a month ago is still leaching color and I was trying to get some of the color out of the tank. I add the two rams...
Thank you so much for your response. I used to have a Corentine tank but I have a baby turtle in there at the moment. His gills do look red to me. Should I go grab another tank from pet smart and get it set up for him? I have quick start I could put in to get it cycled. Should I be worried about...
I have a German blue ram who is young and yesterday I noticed he was gasping for breath and his gills looked like they were sticking out. Today he looks worse still gasping for breath one side of his gills looks like it is starting to deteriorate. My ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels are all 0...
I'm deciding to skip the betta I think you guys are right not worth trying to see if it will work out. Does anyone have a suggestion for a colorful centerpiece fish instead of the betta
I plan on getting 3 more. I was not informed they were schooling fish and just figured that out recently. I'm not sure if my small tank bottom can house 6 comfortably
I have a 36 gallon tall hexagon tank I was hoping to put one male betta, several guppy and a pair of butterfly endlers in the tank. It already has a Cory catfish. Do you think they will all get along? I have an extra tank if the betta does not do well. Thank you
