I have heard that one of the best ways to catch fish is to try grabbing them while they're sleeping. Turn on the lights and it supposedly stuns them enough for you to make a good swipe at them. Good luck!

From my understanding, doesn't your cycle restart all over when uncured rock is added to a tank that is already cycling?

Like it has been said before, you want a good bacteria population. Consider Live rock as apartment complexes. You can fit lots of bacteria (and other critters) into these 'homes' Now consider 1 story homes in the same area... You can fit a lot of bacteria there but, nowhere near what you can...

If you don't have a lfs near by, you could try checking with a grocery store. I used to get my water from there to mix and it only cost $.08 per gallon. Too bad the smarted up and increased the price to $.27 like their other stores.

I don't have a goby so I don't have much to in the way of help. Is that the spot where you normally feed?

I thought the same thing. But when I visited cousins in florida and talked to people about it, I think the law states that you have to catch the fish by Rod, reel?, and line with hook/bait. I've heard of people down there fishing with nets and they would get it real trouble if caught. But...

Interesting. I've thought about getting a sump but didn't want to drill the tank and didn't want to get a new tank. This HOB overflow boxes look pretty promising. And like you said fishfrik, I think I might try it if they're flawless, especially since our tank is sitting on hardwood flooring.
