A second thought with algae eaters be wary of the size they will reach and some become very aggressive

I would suggest you add one type or another of dwarf pleco i.e. Clown , rubberlip or a bristle nose pleco . This will not solve your problem completely but it will help . You should not have to vacuum tank every water change but it wont hurt and your catfish are albino cory cats who do better...

I have changed up the water , I am now filling my 3G containers and letting them sit for three days to allow chlorine and other nasties to escape then using the water for changes and I am no longer loosing fish !

You will have no problem mixing mystery snails in your tank. I have several mystery, apple and zebra snails in my 50g with far more aggressive fish and have no problems , they all seem to ignore the snails .

I have not had cichlids in a very long time , decades . It is time so I want ask those who know can I put angelfish in with African cichlids ( lake Malawi ) ? I would to heavily stock the tank with 9 large angelfish and small Africans thus giving the angels the size advantage .
