    How much flow is to much?

    I'm running an FX4 on a 46 gallon bow front. That's at least 10x turnover. Keeping cichlids and they are doing fine. Water's crystal and numbers are perfect.

    fluval 306

    I was using that same Fluval internal filter in a 46 Bow front and found it didn't work that well. It seemed to have very little flow. I'm now using an FX4. I'm sure the 306 would work well for you. But I believe in over filtering so I'd go with the 406.

    I've used both marine land and eheim. Both work very well. Eheim may be slightly quieter, but you'll pay a bit more.

    Should not be any ammonia number in an established tank.

    I have the Aquaneat led bar and i just set it behind the hood with the T8 in it. When I have them both on it's super bright.
