Saw this and fell in love. Anyone know what it is and if it's community friendly? Plant friendly?

    Who's that FRY?!?!

Hi everyone! So my fry are finally large enough to photograph, though I'm still not sure what type of fry they are! Have been feeding the proper food for fry, but never knew what kind they were. They hitchhiked onto a plant that I purchased at a local fish store for $3.99- no one knew about the...

Double the fixtures = double the par?

hat a thing? If I were to have double of the same lighting fixture on a tank, would the PAR or general lighting intensity be greater? Would you be able to grow plants that require more light? Hoping someone experienced can answer! Thank you so much.

    What is on my sand?

So this is a moderately planted tank that was set up on June 29th. What is on my sand? It's been ever so slowly spreading but then in some places it ignore completely. Diatoms? Maybe water flow is a cause? I have pretty good filtration and a 700GPH circulation pump. Thanks for the input! [emoji2]

Care for Rainbow fry? Unknown type.

So I purchased some plants in a tank that, at the LFS, had some rainbows in it. I assume that these are the offspring that were in eggs connected to the plants (unknowingly to myself) at the store! How do I care for These? They are in a 10g alone with only a few RCS.

What is on or wrong with my crypts?

Hi everyone! Fairly new tank (2.5ish weeks old) and just have plants, some snails, and ghost shrimp in it while it's cycling. This brown stuff is on a crypt leaf, slightly on (Not as bad) a few Rotala leaves, and a little brown sand mixed within the regular PFS. What kind of algae is this? If it...

    Soil leeching into water column?

Woke up today with the water a slight brown tint. Newly set up tank- in fact it was the first night. I have about an inch of sand capped over soil. Could the soil leak into the water column still to slightly tint it? I also have four large rocks from the backyard in there. I had boiled them to...

    Finnex Planted+ 24/7 SE

For a regular dimension 75g with dirt and sand substrate, what level of light would this be considered? And would you advise C02 with it if I hope to add plants.

    75g FW Setup.

Hello, everyone! Trying to get back into the hobby. I have a 75 gallon fish tank that I'm going to convert into a planted freshwater set up. I'm going to be using dirt and sand/gravel as a substrate, and two AC 110's for filtration. For lighting, I wanted it to be medium light on the higher...
