    Is the filter intake to strong? His fins may have been caught in it. If this is the case you can fasten a bit of sponge on the intake

    Bettas need a minimum of 2.5 gallons imo, it's not the best of course but my last on thrived in one for 6 and a 1/2 years and was very active and content. Yours don't seem to even be 2.5 tho :( maybe I'm wrong

    So I got a beautiful new betta yesterday and he is now in a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter and a heater. The tank is NOT cycled as it was given to me by a friend and didn't have time to. He sorta just chills at the top and when he swims down he kinfa floats back up. Is this normal, is he...

    Those tanks are very under-sized! The minimum for one fish is 20 gallons! Goldfish can get huge and live as long as humans with proper tank size and filtration

    I'm 15 but my parents won't let me get anything more than a betta :/. They're pretty awesome though!
