    Peacock Gudeons

Could a 9 gallon fluval flex support 2 peacock gudeons? It would be planted and I do weekly water changes. They are both full grown I've had them for a while now, one is bigger then the other but is only 2 inches max and the other around an inch and a half. The dimensions of the fluval flex are...

    Fluval Flex setup

Totally forgot I started this forum, the app is still not working right for me. It's doing good, growing some plants and raising some ghost shrimp. Didn't add anything to the legs yet because im pretty sure I'll be moving it to a new stand in the future, it's looking good!

    Someone want to explain this?

In regards to him acting weird? No it's never happened before and I get fish from there all the time. And I don't think ill stock it with 4 rams, over crowded IMO, I'll probably do some smaller schooling ones

    Someone want to explain this?

I don't have a test kit to measure TDS but I'll start looking around for one, and no I haven't tried cutting it with RO. I was hopeful the peat would lower it a bit so ive been running it and it doesn't seem to really lower it yet, Ill give it more time though. Think a 20 gallon long could...

    3 gallon tank + betta + a tank mate?

I think a nerite snail might be too much for a 3g, they make a lot of waste and it would probably mess up parameters too quickly. You could probably do a couple feeder guppies, maybe 4. You could also do a couple ghost shrimp. As long as your betta isn't a bully and tries to beat them up. For...

    Someone want to explain this?

Oh yeah I know he's the guru here with them, I was hoping since they aren't wild caught ones they would adjust to pH but I'm guessing the store does use RO and significantly lowers their pH.

    Someone want to explain this?

Alright if I end with getting them again I'll do 4

    Someone want to explain this?

I only got 1 because he was the only one who was in nice condition, the rest were a little torn up and were visibly stressed. My plan is to eventually have 3

    Someone want to explain this?

I go to a Lfs less then a mile away from my house because they have decent fish and some seem to breed with pure luck there for example there were 2 firemouth Cichlids w a pleco in one of the for sale tanks and they somehow spawned and had a lot of fry. Anyways, I get a GBR, bring it home...

    Canister Media Order

Not sure how the baskets are on the eheim and how much media you have to move but I would go (from bottom to top) Filter floss/pad, then bio, then bio/floss/pad, then chemical if you're using it (carbon or similar)

    Piggy back HOB and Canister???

Man that's what I was thinking! That's gotta be like a 20x turnover minimum per hour lol

    Honey Gourami Turning Black

That's just their breeding behavior!! I have the same type and one of the males turned really dark and is building huge bubble nests, it's just them sexually maturing and getting ready to breed. Nothing to worry about as long as the aggression doesn't kill the other ones

    Aquaclear vs fluval c series

I have a Fluval C2 and love it. Little bypass if any and the way the media sets up is similar to a canister filter. I've heard the AquaClears have more bypass then wanted. However same company that makes them and both durable. I would go with a Fluval c IMO

    Is this overstocked

Doesn't seem overstocked to me IMO. As long as you do like weekly 30% water changes you should b fine

    Caring for Betta Fishes

Lol maybe I'll use that on my Fluval Flex soon ? Haven't scaped it yet and it's just holding a bunch of ghost shrimp right now haha

    Caring for Betta Fishes

Java fern, java moss, hornwort, anacharis, anubias, and marimo moss balls are all great beginner low light plants. I would +1 everything King Fisher said, definitely 3+ gallons with a heater and slow moving filter. Use normal tap water with dechlorinator, do a small water change once a week, and...

    Petco

Yep they all run on the same filtration system per rack. It's like that at probably 98% of all pet stores. See the black line on the picture? It's the split between the racks and then each side has a filtration for the 9 tanks on their side so it all gets circulated

    Bluegill Dying of Old Age?

If you're worried about predators outside in the 200g you could just use something like window screen and roll it over the top then just anchor it down

    Planted marine aquarium ?

Can't help with any of the other but you can't use a finnex planted on a saltwater tank, while you could totally put it on top of the tank and turn it on, it won't grow anything or provide anywhere the needed lights for any corals, you'll need to look into a different light to do the best thing...

    Piggy back HOB and Canister???

Sorry to hear! Well, I had never seen aqueon canister filters before so new product there to check out for me haha. Personally, I would get 2 Seachem 75 Tidal HOB filters. Would be same price as a canister and let me tell you, those things are beasts! Amazing flow and can hold a lot of media...
