My Koi Betta is turning white and blue :) I don't see any orange coming in. Gave him new substrate and a log today.

Is it beyond time where some filter media from an established tank would help? I cycled my brand new tank and filter over Xmas fishless, with Prime and media from a friend’s tank. It’s holding steady now with 6 Cory and 6 Tetra.

Decided on the following, and ordered in on a group buy to save shipping. 10 Koi Angelfish 2" now 10 Pristella Tetra 10 Bronze Cory juvelines 2 Nannacara Acara juveniles 1 Apple snail Will see how things go as they grow up.

Thanks. I just decided to add 4 more Pristellas to make a school of 10. I like them, they are active and interesting. Also adding 4 more bronze Corys. Should have mentioned that I have an apple snail in there too.

Hello, I am hoping to get lights for my aquarium that will be strong enough for my plants. I don't mind scrapping the two canopies that I have now, as the tube lights don't seem to be generating enough light to penetrate the water, tannins and all. Any suggestions where I should start...

I have a baby koi coloured Betta on hold, until my 10g tank finishes cycling. It's very exciting as I had never known they existed. His fins haven't come in yet, so it will be really neat to see his pattern develop. I have a dark blue substrate, I think he'll really pop against it.

Nannacara Anomala. He uses terracotta pots for houses, and I plan to get a good number of them for territory/hiding spots. 7.2 pH after sitting for 5 days 36 hours after adding bacteria from friend's tank, and ghost feeding flakes ( I need to run to the store for ammonia, just been busy)...

I found out that my friend breeds Golden Dwarf Cichlids, so I am reserving a couple of those. So, my tentative plan: Upper tank - 10ish Rasbora Middle lower tank - 2-4 Dwarf Golden Cichlid Lower tank - 6-10 Laser Corydora Will I have room for more?
